Learning how to make waffles using my homemade Bisquick mix is so simple and delicious that you will forever make waffles from scratch from this day forward. I love eating from scratch homemade waffles with nuts or berries when they are in season. What a great meal to start off the day.

In addition, using this recipe to teach young children how to make waffles is a great idea. It teaches them necessary kitchen skills as well as the importance of eating healthy wholesome food.

How To Make Waffles:

To make these waffles you use 2 cups of my homemade Bisquick mix that you can find linked. Then all you need to do is add 1 1/2 cups of milk, 2 tablespoons of sugar, 1/4 teaspoon of cinnamon, 1/2 teaspoon of vanilla, 1 tablespoon of vegetable oil, and 1 egg.

Hands pour vanilla into a mixing bowl of dough on a speckled countertop, surrounded by dishes. Text reads: "1/2 teaspoon Vanilla."

I like my waffle batter a little thicker than my pancake batter so it works better in my waffle machine. This is a great consistency.

Use a 1/4-1/2 cup measuring cup to pour the batter into your hot waffle maker. Cook on medium heat. Remove the waffle from the waffle maker when both sides are golden brown.

Serve waffles warm with your choice of syrups, nuts, fruits, butter, or peanut butter. Or make the waffles more of a dessert and eat them with ice cream or whipped cream.
