Learn how to dehydrate celery to preserve its freshness and flavor.
Step 1: Wash and Prepare the Celery
Make sure to remove any dirt or debris from the celery stalks and trim off any brown or wilted ends.
Step 2: Slice or Dice the Celery

You can slice the celery into thin pieces or dice it into small cubes, depending on your preference. I cut them into 1/4-1/2 inch slices.
Step 3: Arrange Celery on Dehydrator Trays

Spread out the celery pieces on the trays. Make sure not to overcrowd the trays to ensure efficient drying.
Step 4: Set the Dehydrator Temperature and Time
For celery, I recommend setting the temperature to around 125°F and dehydrating for 6 to 12 hours.

Step 5: Check for Dryness
The celery should be dry and crispy to the touch with no signs of moisture.

Step 6: Store the Dried Celery
Store the dried celery in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight.

And there you have it! Your own homemade dehydrated celery, perfect for adding flavor to soups, stews, and snacks.
