Meat Lover’s Chili Dip

Meat Lover’s Chili Dip is such an easy way to utilize your previously canned chili. Even my children have learned how to make this quick snack. One of the lovely things about home canning is the variety of goods you can have in your pantry. When you first start canning it can be difficult to figure out how to factor all those lovely jarred goods into your meal plans. That is why we sometimes like to share tips on how we utilize what we have preserved. Meat Lover’s Chili is a great basic recipe that I love to can up. Meat Lover's Chili Dip

Meat Lover’s Chili Dip

Ingredients to make Meat Lover’s Chili Dip:

  • 1 pint of canned Meat Lover’s Chili (no beans)

  • 1 cup + 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (divided)

  • 4 ounces cream cheese

  • 1 tablespoon cumin

Empty the jar of chili into a medium-sized pan. Add 1 cup of the cheese, cream cheese, and cumin.

Simmer the ingredients until the cheese and cream cheese have melted and blended well with the chili.

Transfer the dip to your serving dish and top with the remaining 1/2 a cup of shredded cheese.

Optional additions would be canned beans, green onions, olives, cilantro, different cheeses, and sour cream.
