How to Dehydrate Mushrooms

I love knowing how to dehydrate mushrooms. I like to buy them in bulk and use them throughout the year.
The first thing you want to do is wash and dry the mushrooms. Then, using a sharp knife, cut them into 1/4-inch slices.

Now, load the dehydrator trays with a layer of your sliced mushrooms and start it at 125 degrees F. Your mushrooms will be done when they are very dry to the touch. This can take anywhere from 6 to 12 hours depending on your dehydrator, how thick your mushrooms are, etc.
Place dry mushrooms in an airtight container in a cool dry place. When you are ready to use them, you can either rehydrate them first or throw them in dry. Use them in any recipe you would normally use mushrooms in. (I really like to use them in scrambled eggs and soups.)
